Located in the centre of the Sussex Weald, Chailey benefits from 300 years of brick-making history. Skills handed down from craftsman to craftsman enable them to create stock bricks of true character. Chailey still uses an original recipe, including a blend of local Wealden clays from its own quarry.
The bricks are fired in a traditional clamp to give the distinctive warm Chailey colours. To ensure quality and consistency of these colours and texture, all Chailey bricks are sorted and packed by hand.
Most Chailey clamp-fired stock bricks are available in both 50mm and 65mm sizes.
