The Ibstock Cory Environmental Trust (ICET) was established in February 2001, inconjunction with Ibstock Brick Limited and Cory Environmental Limited and funded through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme (LTCS). To date over 88 projects have been supported and funding over £2 million has been approved.

The ICET mainly support projects in the St Helens, Walsall and Dudley areas where Cory and Ibstock have operational links, although other sites in England and Wales have been helped.

In line with the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme objectives, the trust funds:

  • Remediation of contaminated land
  • Prevention of pollution
  • Community improvement schemes
  • Restoration of the build environment, including historic or religious buildings
  • Facilitation of works with species and habitats through biodiversity conservation.
