BRICK AWARDS 2008 SHORTLIST
The annual Brick Awards is one of the most widely respected design awards in the UK. Organised by Building magazine and the Brick Development Association (BDA), the Awards recognise excellence in design and construction using brick. 14 trophies and more than 50 certificates are issued to the successful projects acknowledging the architect/designer, brick manufacturer and specialist brickwork contractor. BRICK PRICES IN 2009
The unprecedented rise in the costs of gas and electricity used to make bricks and in the cost of diesel fuel for transport make brick price increases of between 15% and 20% inevitable at the year end.
