The Hadrian Awards is a scheme to promote the value of excellent design in the north east of England and in particular to promote the skills of architects in making buildings and places of purpose and distinction.
The Awards run every two years.
The best of recent architecture in the North East is being celebrated with five buildings receiving the region’s highest accolade – a Hadrian Award – with another three commended.
The winners announced during Architecture Week at Seven Stories in Newcastle were:-
