Rainscreen cladding is a proven technology that works extremely well, for both new and existing buildings.
It works on the principle of allowing the building to breathe – continuous airflow between the cladding and the building shell prevents rain penetration due to pressure equalization created within the system.
The construction is simple with an aluminium frame fixed to the backing structure. Onto this special connectors are fitted to hold the tiles securely in position. Insulation material may be placed between the tiles and the aluminium frame to increase the thermal efficiency of the building if required.
