Pinhole Range extends Refurbishment offering

The new Pinhole Range from Roughdales is characterised by the traditional pinhole texture in 73mm format found on many older developments in the North and Midlands regions. The four Pinhole products range from plain red through to almost black enabling varying degrees of weathered brickwork to be readily matched and therefore the Pinhole range is expected to be popular with merchants stocking bricks for match-up work.

The four products are the Pinhole Antique (C0476A), Pinhole Dark (C0477A), Pinhole Red (C0475A) & Pinhole Weathered (C0478A).

The Autumn edition of Dzine Magazine is now available. This issue features five very different projects that use special shaped bricks in very different ways ranging from a Mosque in Sheffield, a Coptic church in Stevenage through to a very unusual summerhouse that has been built in the grounds of a Grade II* listed building. The Back to Basics is the first part of designing for durability and looks at mortars and pointing.

The 2007 Brick Awards were presented at a glittering ceremony at the beginning of November and Ibstock won three categories. Projects from Miller Homes won the Volume Housebuilder Award, Quayside Lofts in Newcastle-upon-Tyne won Best Private Housing Award and the Best International Award was given to Sports Centre Het Marnix in the Netherlands. In total Ibstock had 21 projects shortlisted in this year’s Awards.

Building bay windows on site is not an easy job but Ibstock’s latest innovation – standard modular bay windows – will make them as easy as building a standard wall. Based around a lightweight steel frame, the modular bay window is approximately half the weight of traditionally built masonry construction. These NHBC approved units come in three standard sizes and are available in any brick or stone finish, either pre-pointed or unfinished for pointing on site. A Product Information Card is available with all the details, click here for more information.
